The school is located around Golden Horn area in Beyoglu, Istanbul. It is a low-secondary public school which has approximately 971 students ranging from 10-13 years old. There are 15 classrooms and 1 computer Lab. And also there is an interactive whiteboard in each class. 

he population is very mixed either from a financial point of view or from an intellectual capacity angle. The school offers a great variety of actions to fit the different students’ needs.

There are several pupils with special needs and they don't have any specific class at school. It means that they also go on their lessons in any typical class. They don't have much possibility to develop their skills. There are also several pupils with learning difficulties of different type (dyslexia, disorders) and immigrants from several Middle East countries. 

Students are motivated to communicate, they are really interested in using the foreign language and digital literacy. But, they don't have any chance to go to abroad because of their families' limited budgets. This ERASMUS project will help them use English in their daily lives and pupils will learn about different countries and their cultures.

The whole team of teachers likes to invest themselves in many projects to keep the students’ interest alive. Teachers support the pupils and help them to develop their emotional intelligence and talent in order to let them achieve the key competences for their lives as teenagers and adults, citizens tomorrow in the society. The education quality is getting better day by day due to our young and dynamic education staff.

The school has successfully completed a Comenius project (2010-1-DE3-COM06-10772-4) which was called “Europe in Motion, Europa bewegt sich” in 2010, and the school has been involved in an Erasmus+ project since 2014 (2014-1-DE03-KA201-001291_3) and it is called “MOVEing through art into the future”. Lastly the school has been involved in an Erasmus+ project since 2016 (2016-1-LT01-KA219-023136_4) and it is called “Entrepreneurship: A step to the future”. Thus, the teachers work on a lot of cross curricula projects opened to the outside world. The school teachers are willing to work on some projects for students to improve their skills for the future.

The key person is experienced in several international projects and student exchanges. He was awarded for coming first in an international competition and he also has successfully completed a Comenius project (2012-1-GR1-COM06-09848-3) which is called “The Magic Wand of Taste touching the arts”. He graduated from Computer and Instructional Technologies Education. And he also graduated from Information Technology in master degree. Nowadays He has been doing his PhD in computer engineering. So He will help other partners to understand if there is a complicated point related to the technology and create web sites, blogs and fun pages related to our project as well.

Besides the English teacher who gratuated from English Language and Literature Department has trained in the branch of drama and Literaature. She can support students to create and write new stories. She had also studied another comenius project and has experienced to encourage students to share their ideas.
